REVIEWS FOR NEMESIS

"...embodies everything progressive music should aspire to achieve."

"The more you listen to the album, the more subtleties you discover, making the album even better with each new listen"

“Nemesis is a must for prog metal aficionados and their future is bright"

"the great art of melodic prog metal, sophisticated in content, brought to perfection in terms of craftsmanship and yet filled with so much passion and emotion that you want to fall to your knees"

"songs are grippingly arranged and convince with Dewulf 's hard-rocking, sometimes jazzy guitar playing"

"I'd place this band in a similar kind of context as Canadian giants Rush"

REVIEWS FOR SPECTRA

"A recommended listen for all lovers of Progressive Metal sounds, an album to listen to again and again, always managing to give us positive emotions."

"this band's sound isn't easily pegged...it's good old traditional heavy rock (though not metal); If, however, you attend carefully to the twists and turns, you will appreciate all the more the technical ability of the players. Best of all, there isn't a weak song on the album"

THE WRING's third full-length album, is another step towards excellence. The Canadian project asserts itself as singular, talented, intelligent and original.

"A rock album first, a prog album second that manages to bring them together in a way that will satisfy both sides of that spectra! Well worth seeking out."

"Here's one for prog dorks. This outfit's third outing features drums by Marco Minnemann so you know the rhythms are mad. The regulars in the band ain't slouches either though. This is intricate and melodic prog done well."

"It took me a while to get fully into this album, but it’s a grower and gets better with every play... I would be surprised if Don isn’t working on the next project, and that is something to look forward to indeed."

"Tired of prog metal bands who fire away odd rhythms, fast solos and complex arrangements? Half of them trying to sound like Dream Theater but all failing completely? Look no further."

"Although the tracks feature some tricky riffs and advanced playing, the songs are actually pretty compact and not over-indulgent."

"The third album Spectra by the Canadian progressive rock project The Wring is downright infectious with its playfulness and catchy Hard Prog Rock songs."

Says it all

MEDIA FOR PROJECT CIPHER

“The extreme professionalism on display throughout this entire album, although a labour of love, is a true master class of musicianship performed by musicians who are truly at the top of their game, making the industry what it is today. The sheer attention to detail is a credit to each and every performer as they tailor their craft neatly and precisely throughout every track, with nothing less than perfect being the order of the day.”

Mark Sugiyama, from Eclectic Arts media outlet based in Seattle, WA, interviews Don Dewulf on the upcoming release of Project Cipher, featuring Thomas Lang, Marc Bonilla, and Bryan Bellar  .

“For fans of Rush, Fates Warning, Dream Theater, Queensryche, The Dead Daisies”

The album is 7 songs with one instrumental and 6 vocal tracks.  It is a rock record with bits of proggy stuff hidden inside.  The players are diverse and really complement each other and the overall vibe

The Wring's next single "The Light" is showcased in a new music video to give a visual glimpse of the players inside a cool conceptual framework. The video was created by Wring bass player, Jason Henrie, using content clips from a couple of very talented video artists.

The album features Marc Bonilla (Keith Emerson Band, California Transit Authority, Glenn Hughes), Bryan Beller (Joe Satriani, The Aristocrats, Dethklok, Steve Vai), Thomas Lang (Robert Fripp, Peter Gabriel, Robbie Williams), Jason Henrie, and Jason Sadites

“The Wring² Project Cipher” boasts the work of several seasoned, professional musicians, making this one of the top albums prog fans are going to want this year."

“Today, The Wring shares a playthrough video for the single “Cipher”, which captures the whole band performing the song from their personal home studios. A combination homage to Rush’s “YYZ” and Mastodon’s “March of the Fire Ants”, the track is the only instrumental featured on the full length.”

"This incredible depth of players brings to life an album that has enough proggy stuff for the geeks, but still plenty of melodies and rock riffery for the regular heavy music listener."

Don Dewulf is the sole songwriter of the project and he takes up guitar duties, but the album wouldn't have come together without help from drummer Thomas Lang, vocalist Marc Bonilla, bassist Bryan Beller as well as bassist Jason Henrie who also played on The Wring’s first album. Guitarist Jason Sadites rounds out the line-up, playing a killer solo on one track.
