Many good things have happened.
How did this happen?
I like to believe that I wrote some good songs. Then I hired some absolutely killer players to bring the songs to life. I also have a very talented friend, Jason Henrie, who not only played some killer bass on the record but also created some very cool videos to support the vision. I now had a product I was happy with but was uncertain what to do with it.
Another friend, Steve Kraus, referred me to Jon Asher from Asher Media Relations. Jon is a music publicist. He has connections in music media outlets all over the world. He placed my music in the ears of people that influence the ears of listeners everywhere. Literally.
He also put me in contact with these people for reviews, interviews and various other interactions. One of those happened to be a video interview with Jon Harris from Rockmetalpodcast. At the end of that interview Jon asked if I'd be interested in presenting the album to any record labels. Of course! So he e-introduced me to Naty and Carlo at Wormholedeath records. Shortly after, WHD offered me what I think is a very fair and risk free distribution deal. They take my record to the world and we share in the results of that... whatever it may be. WHD has been around for a long time and really seem to understand their market and, more importantly, their artists. I'm humbled that they see enough in Project Cipher to spend their time and resources getting it out.
The record has been out for a month or so at this writing and feedback has been very good but everyone will judge for themselves. The most enthusiasm has come from Europe and especially the UK. You can see a few samples of reviews in the Media section. There are actually too many to post. Crazy.
If you haven't listened to the record, please do. It's on all the platforms:
and about a million others or
Bandcamp if you want WAV files instead of MP3 or streaming. Or if you want to buy a CD.
Stay tuned. I think there is more to tell...
